In the face of rising authoritarianism in parts of Europe, journalists are coming under increasing pressure, from legal threats and shrinking financial resources to intimidation. This deep dive workshop offers insights into how journalism can continue to serve as a pillar of democracy and a shared value system across Europe. Experts will share their perspectives and lead constructive discussions on the best strategies for media organizations throughout the continent. In addition, the European Commission Representation will provide an overview of EU funding instruments available to journalists.
