BY TRAIN

Regular ICE trains run from Bonn Central Station to Berlin, stopping in Cologne.

Additionally, many ICE trains stop at Siegburg/Bonn Station, located on the Frankfurt–Cologne high-speed line. From there, light rail trains will take you to the city center of Bonn in around 20 minutes.

Regional trains provide good connections to cities such as Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Koblenz. The regional stations of Bad Godesberg, Duisdorf, Beuel, and Mehlem also connect the city well to the rail network.

You can also reach Bonn overnight by ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railways) night train from Zurich or Amsterdam, for example.

BY PLANE

Bonn is well connected to Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt airports.

Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN) is situated on the right bank of the Rhine, between Cologne and Bonn. Passengers arriving here can reach Bonn city centre in around 30 minutes by bus, tram, train or car. An express bus also runs regularly from Bonn Central Station to the airport.

From Düsseldorf Airport (DUS), various ICE trains run towards Cologne. You can also take the RE5 towards Koblenz Central Station to the ‘Bonn Main Station’ stop.

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is directly connected to the Frankfurt–Cologne high-speed rail line. You can therefore take the ICE to Siegburg/Bonn. From there, underground line 66 runs regularly towards Bonn city centre.
