"BEYOND NEWS - Rethinking Journalism" at Deutsche Welle

October 1 and 2
Deutsche Welle // Kurt-Schumacher-Str. 3, 53113 Bonn

On October 1 and 2, 2026, the BEYOND NEWS – Rethinking Journalism conference will take place at Deutsche Welle. This industry-wide conference builds on the first BEYOND NEWS meeting, which took place in Hamburg in November 2025.

Young journalists and decision-makers from various media organizations are working together on concrete pilot ideas for the future of journalism. They are based on the recommendations developed by more than 150 participants in November 2025. The pilot ideas will be compiled into a catalog that all participating organizations can draw upon - developed with a practical focus and supported by the community, thereby strengthening it in the long term.
