Uwe H. Martin dokumentiert seit 2007 die sozialen und ökologischen Folgen globaler Landwirtschaft. Seine Recherchen erscheinen u.a. in Spiegel, Geo und Süddeutsche Zeitung und werden international als räumliche Mehrkanal-Multimedia Installationen ausgestellt. Neben seiner dokumentarisch-künstlerischen Praxis unterrichtet er weltweit Journalismus, Multimedia Storytelling und Design und entwickelt in interdisziplinären Teams Lösungsansätze mit dem Ziel, Menschen langfristig zur Unabhängigkeit zu befähigen und nachhaltige Veränderungen für Gesellschaft und Umwelt zu bewirken.

The hands-on workshop "Transition Journalism" explores how journalists can build a sustainable business model and contribute to solving the crises of the 21st century by expanding constructive journalism with eco-social design, participatory art practices, and mediation, facilitation, and coaching techniques. "Transition Journalism" connects people and their ideas to develop equitable and sustainable solutions to complex problems, linking existing knowledge and generating new knowledge.
