Aphrodite Salas is a journalist and professor at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. She specializes in mobile journalism and constructive climate reporting with Indigenous communities. Her research focuses on transforming journalism practices to be more collaborative and less extractive, with an emphasis on decolonization. Aphrodite is also on the management team of Voltage, a 123-million-dollar research program at Concordia on the electrification of society. A journalist with decades of experience, she worked at CTV, Canada’s largest privately owned network, as a national correspondent, anchor and video journalist. Aphrodite’s work centers on building trust, accountability and inclusivity in journalism.
