Miriam Wells ist Impact Editor und stellvertretende Entwicklungsdirektorin bei The Examination , einem global tätigen investigativen Gesundheits-Journalismus-Newsroom. Zuvor war sie als Reporterin, Producerin, Auslandskorrespondentin und Redakteurin in Print, TV, Radio und Digital tätig. Beim Bureau of Investigative Journalism (UK) entwickelte sie die Rolle der Impact Editorin erstmals überhaupt. Sie hat eine Strategie entwickelt, um die reale Wirkung journalistischer Recherchen zu maximieren, indem Impact-Denken und die Beteiligung von Communities durchgehend im redaktionellen Prozess und in der Newsroom-Kultur verankert werden – dabei jedoch stets klar auf der Seite des Journalismus und nicht des Aktivismus. Sie berät Redaktionen und Organisationen weltweit, die die Wirkung ihrer Berichterstattung stärken möchten.
