Mario Dobovišek is a member of the editorial team at Deutschlandfunk and is responsible for foreign studios and foreign security, among other things. During the coronavirus pandemic, he was in charge of internal crisis management. Previously, he presented Deutschlandfunk's “Information in the Morning” for 13 years and was a correspondent in the capital city studio. He can look back on many years of experience in civil protection: his previous work for the Federal Agency for Technical Relief with staff and press work in national and international operations, his focus on “international cooperation in disasters” as a political scientist and his lecturing activities for the EU Commission's “European Civil Protection”, among others.
