How do I personalize my ticket?
You can easily personalize your ticket – or any tickets you've purchased – either during checkout or afterward by clicking "Edit Details" under "Your Information" in your order confirmation.
Personalized tickets are only valid for the person named on them. However, you can transfer a ticket to someone else – learn how below in the FAQ.
Can I add registration-required events later on?
You can sign up for or cancel individual events at any time through your order confirmation on pretix, even if you’ve already purchased your ticket.
Just use the link in your confirmation email from pretix and click the "Modify Order" button at the bottom to add or remove extra sessions or items.
Can I bring an accompanying person to the b° future festival?
Of course! One option is to purchase a regular ticket for your companion. But there are also other options available:
- Companions for people with disabilities
The b° future festival aims to be as accessible as possible for people with disabilities. We're designing the festival to reduce barriers and offer plenty of support – though, unfortunately, not all barriers can be fully removed.
If you have a disability, you can bring a companion with you to the festival free of charge. In some cases, it's also possible to bring more than one companion or different companions on different days. You don't need the "B" (companion) designation on your disability ID to qualify.
Just send an email ahead of time to festival@bonn-institute.org to register your companion. You'll receive an additional ticket alongside your regular ticket that must be personalized for your companion.
- Other companions and support animals
At the b° future festival, we want all participants to feel comfortable and safe. If you need to bring a companion who doesn't fall under the "Companions for people with disabilities" category, or if you plan to bring a certified support or therapy animal (documentation required, please get in touch with us at festival@bonn-institute.org.
As always, please contact us as early as possible to avoid any issues at the entrance. Thank you!
Please note: Companion tickets are only valid when paired with a regular festival ticket. Both the ticket holder and their companion must be present together at check-in.
Do children need a ticket as well?
Children up to and including 17 years of age get in for free. A ticket is required starting at age 18.
We recommend that younger children are always accompanied and supervised by an adult.
How do I transfer a ticket to someone else?
Can't make it to the b° future festival and want to transfer your ticket to someone else?
No problem! You can easily update the ticket details yourself. Just use the link in your order confirmation or the ticket email you received from pretix after placing or paying for your order. On the order confirmation page, click "Edit Details" under "Your Information" to update the personalized ticket.
If you have any questions or run into issues, feel free to reach out to us at festival@bonn-institute.org.
Can I cancel my ticket?
Tickets cannot be canceled. This also applies if you've already purchased a ticket and later gain access to the event through another role such as a speaker, volunteer, etc.
If the b° future festival cannot take place as planned, we'll provide timely information about refund options.
Tickets
What payment methods do you offer?
You can currently pay for your order using credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, or bank transfer.
Why are there fees when buying tickets, and how much are they?
The booking fee goes to pretix, our ticketing provider, and to payment services like PayPal or Stripe. It's €4 per ticket.
These fees help cover the system costs needed to keep everything running smoothly.
Pretix is a Germany-based platform known for its strong data protection standards and secure servers, which are all located in Germany. Plus, the company is fully powered by green energy.
I want to update my billing information.
A full invoice is automatically included with every completed ticket order. Sometimes the details on it may be incorrect or incomplete.
Wrong or missing billing address? Typos? Need to add a customer reference or VAT ID? No problem – you can update your billing information anytime via your order overview on pretix.
To make sure the changes are reflected on your invoice, just reach out to our accounting team afterward at invoice@bonn-institute.org.
The ticket shop isn't confirming my payment or is showing an error. What should I do?
Please note that bank transfers, unlike other payment methods, are processed manually and can take up to 5 business days before your order is confirmed.
For any other issues, feel free to contact our accounting team at invoice@bonn-institute.org.
I ordered tickets but haven't received them.
To access your ticket, just follow the link in the order or payment confirmation email you received. From there, you can easily download your ticket as a PDF, add it to your wallet, or view it online.
Didn't get the email? It might take a few minutes to arrive – be sure to also check your spam folder.
If you still haven't received a confirmation, please contact us at invoice@bonn-institute.org.
I found my ticket, but I can't find the order confirmation or the invoice. What should I do?
First, check your spam folder for any emails from support@pretix.eu.
If nothing shows up, no worries – we're happy to help. Just send us a message at invoice@bonn-institute.org.
Do I need to provide proof when purchasing discounted tickets?
You don't need to provide proof when purchasing a discounted ticket. However, your eligibility will be checked at the on-site check-in.
Make sure to bring a valid official document that's still valid at the time of the festival and shows your name – it should match the name on your ticket.
Important: If your proof of eligibility doesn't include a photo, please also bring a valid photo ID like your passport, driver’s license, or national ID.
- Students in secondary school: a valid student ID.
- University students of any age: a valid student ID or current enrollment certificate.
- Trainees: a written confirmation from your employer or vocational school/training center.
The documents must have been valid at the time of ticket purchase. It doesn't matter which country issued them, but they should be in German or English — or at least clear and easy to understand.
I bought a discounted ticket, but I've since finished my studies or training. Can I still use it?
Your proof of eligibility should still be valid at the time of the event. However, as a courtesy, we'll also accept documents that expired up to three months before the festival.
I bought a discounted ticket but later realized I'm not actually eligible.
We want to keep offering discounted tickets in the future to make the b° future festival more accessible. That only works if these tickets are used strictly by those who are eligible. That's why we check proof of eligibility at accreditation – only those who qualify will be granted access with a discounted ticket.
If you've realized that you're not actually eligible for the discounted ticket you purchased, you have two options:
- You can transfer the ticket to someone who is eligible.
- You can email us at invoice@bonn-institute.org, and we'll adjust your order so you can pay the difference through pretix.
I can't afford a regular or discounted ticket.
We're offering part of the b° future festival program free of charge, so you can still take part in the public events. Check out our program in advance to see which events require a ticket and which are open to everyone.
