Dr. Chelsea Haramia ist Philosophin und Ethikerin. Ihre Forschung konzentriert sich auf die Schnittstellen von Wissenschaft, Technologie, Werten und Umwelt. Derzeit ist sie Senior Research Fellow am Center for Science and Thought der Universität Bonn und arbeitet dort im Projekt „Desirable AI“. Zudem ist sie Co-Direktorin des Discovery and Futures Lab am SETI Institute. Darüber hinaus ist sie Mitherausgeberin der Fachzeitschrift 1000-Word Philosophy , Vorsitzende der Human Factors Working Group des SETI Post-Detection Hub, Mitglied des Advisory Boards der Cosmic Footprint Society, Mitglied des Management Committee des europäischen COST-Aktionsprogramms FOGOS (Futures Oriented Governance of Outer Space) sowie Co-Moderatorin des Philosophie-Podcasts Story Phi .
