Pal believes hard news should still have a human pulse. At DW’s Hauptstadtstudio in Berlin, she makes complex German politics accessible to international audiences. Previously, she reported from Washington, DC, where she covered the Trump administration and made a documentary on its impact on Native Americans that earned several award nominations. Her journalism aims to help people process the news through relatable protagonists, unheard voices and context that challenges Eurocentric framing.
