Sandra Tzschaschel studied German language and literature, political science and theater, film and television studies in Mainz and Cologne. Her journalistic career brought her to German broadcaster Hessischer Rundfunk (hr) in 2004, following positions at ZDF and NDR, among others. In 2017 she took over as head of the ARD Aktuell editorial department at hr, and since 2022 she has been head of the cross-media editorial department.
