I always wanted to be a journalist as a servant to public and democracy and had the huge privileg of being a longtime parliament correspondent. Today as Director of Hessischer Rundfunk I aim to make public broadcasting fit for the future - focused on audience needs, excellence in our products and trust. In an AI driven media world creativity, empathy and relatedness to the people we want to reach are some of my key issues as is shaping a learning organisation adapted to the many changes still to come.
