Hui Yee spends a lot of time looking at and thinking about power as managing editor of Lighthouse Reports. In her previous life, she was the Bangkok-based bureau chief of The Straits Times, helming its coverage of Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. As a co-founder of The Gender Beat collective, she's worked with a broad range of partners to establish gender-sensitive journalism guidelines in her native Singapore and support gender journalism in the Majority World.
