Björn Staschen is a co-initiator of “Save Social”. The initiative has set out to preserve the democratic power of social media. He is also the editor of the newsletter “The New Social”. The media studies graduate has been actively involved in the debate about the organization of our media system for years - in essays, as a speaker and panelist at conferences and as an expert on parliamentary committees. He studied at the Institute for Journalism and Communication Research (IJK) in Hanover and currently teaches at the Journalism Seminar at the University of Mainz, among other places. He has worked as a television correspondent in London for ARD and developed formats such as “TechTalk” for Tagesschau24. He is currently completing his training to become a certified MBSR mindfulness teacher.
