How do we speak to one another — and whose voices are being heard? Colonial continuities continue to shape language, media, social structures, and our understanding of diversity today. This workshop invites participants to reflect on their own perspectives, engage with different viewpoints, and remain capable of dialogue even in challenging situations. Through shared exchange and critical reflection, participants explore tensions, communication patterns, and possibilities for respectful, sensitive, and responsible interaction. Particular attention is given to culturally sensitive communication as well as questions of power, representation, and everyday practices within broader social discourses. The workshop creates a space for listening, perspective-taking, and developing new approaches to inclusive and diverse coexistence. Participation, diversity, and openness are understood as essential foundations of democratic life together.
