The Constructive Institute in Aarhus, Denmark, offers a 10-month fellowship for journalists all around the globe. During the program the fellows will dive into the works of constructive journalism talking and debating journalism for tomorrow - while at the same time following courses at Aarhus University. The ambition of the institute is to contribute to democracy through critical, constructive journalism – standing on the three ‘pillars’: Focus on Solutions, Cover Nuances and Promote Democratic Conversations. Two former fellows, Nanna Holst and Jesper Himmelstrup, will give some insights of the learnings from the fellowship program - and examples on how to look at the role of the journalist in a new way.
