Does the world actually consist only of wars, crises and catastrophes? Of course not, even if the news suggests it does. This discrepancy in media reporting was the reason for Vanessa Criado to develop a news format with a new focus: In 2018, the COSMO Daily Good News went on air, one of the first positive news formats in the German radio landscape. Since 2022, she has been Head of the Audio Unit and Deputy Head of Programming at COSMO, the young, international cultural radio station of German broadcasters WDR, rbb and Radio Bremen. Vanessa studied journalism, international relations and development policy in Bremen, Madrid and Duisburg, where she conducted research on conflict-sensitive terrorism reporting.
