Titus Ackermann, born in Basel (Switzerland) in 1970, is a founding member and editor of the comic magazine MOGA MOBO. He studied illustration under Professor Heinz Edelmann at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and at the Macintosh School of Art in Glasgow. He has lived and worked in Berlin since 1999, and since 2000 with the other two MGMB creators Jonas and Thomas in the MOGA MOBO studio. He works freelance for magazines, publishers, and large advertising agencies as an illustrator and character designer, including for Deutsche Bahn (DB), which he also advises on children's and youth communication. His work has not only won him several awards, including the “100 Best Posters,” “Bologna International Children's Book Fair” and the “Max und Moritz Prize” for the best German comic publication, but they have also been shown at various exhibitions in Germany and abroad, including in Tokyo (‘Kugelblitz’), with his project “Morgenstadt - Stories from Today and Tomorrow” in Taipei, Seoul, and Helsinki, and with the project "CCC-Comic Culture Clash. He regularly teaches at various schools, such as HTW Berlin and AID (Academy for Illustration and Design), gives workshops on the subject, and curates exhibitions focusing on comics, most recently “Ukraine - Comics from the War Zone” with Ukrainian artists.
