Theresia Schiller started out with an internship at the Darmstadt local newsroom in 2018 and has remained closely connected to ECHO and VRM ever since. Later that same year, she began working as a student assistant in the Südhessen online editorial team while also contributing to the Darmstadt local section as a freelancer. She later moved to VRM’s Digital Hub, where she worked until beginning her journalism traineeship in 2024. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in Creative Leadership. Since her studies, she has had a particular interest in constructive journalism and how its approaches can be applied across different formats. Her main areas of focus are social justice, climate and nature, and business. In addition to her work at VRM, she gained experience at Deutsche Medien-Manufaktur and Hessischer Rundfunk. Since January 2026, she has been working as a reporter in the Darmstadt newsroom.
