Olivia Samnick works as a freelance journalist and filmmaker in Berlin, contributing to outlets such as Medium Magazin, RBB, and ZDF. Her focus areas include social inequality, abuse of power, flight/migration, AI, and media journalism. Since 2019, she has been hosting a journalism podcast called "Bonjourno," which explores how we can make journalism fit for the future.
She is also a co-founder of the non-profit association CO2mmitted Media. The members believe that the sustainability strategies of the media industry have not yet sufficiently addressed the emissions impact of content production, particularly by freelancers. The aim of the association is to promote climate protection that goes beyond traditional greenhouse gas offsetting.
