Nicole Ely is an award-winning producer and journalist who started her career in local news in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before coming to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), she worked for the non-profit Transitions Media on their solutions journalism initiative and conducted research on the Frozen Conflicts project for the Peace Research Center Prague. She holds a master's degree in international security studies from Charles University, where she specialized in online disinformation and media freedom.
