Since 2019, Michael Scholl has been the Managing Director of the Union Stiftung in Saarbrücken. In 2024, the foundation initiated "psst! Pirmasenser Storys," a research project aimed at investigating the willingness for political participation, volunteer work, and strengthening social cohesion. Through a newsletter, the project aims to highlight the significance of information media for democracy. Michael Scholl serves as the managing director of the foundation's parent organization. Before his role at the Union Foundation, Michael was the Administrative Director of the Saarland Media Authority and authorized representative of Saarland Medien GmbH. As a student in 2006, he founded "Chilly – Das junge Magazin fürs Saarland" while serving as chairman of the Young Journalists Saar.
