Martha Peters studied technology journalism at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and began working in political reporting during her studiers. For five years, she has worked as a freelancer for the television broadcaster phoenix, covering political events and also addressing targeted disinformation there. In her master’s thesis in 2023, which received the Information Literacy Award, she examined the technical possibilities and journalistic practices involved in verifying image and video material.
