Marion Franke has been responsible for overseeing funded projects at the Media Innovation Center Babelsberg (MIZ) since February 2016. In 2017, she took over the leadership of the Innovation Funding department, through which MIZ supports the development of new solutions at the intersection of media and technology.
After studying theater, film, and television studies at the Free University of Berlin, she worked for several years in the news editorial team and production management at a Berlin radio station. She then worked for Viacom International Media Networks in Berlin and Stockholm, focusing on program and broadcast planning. During her time there, she was involved in the introduction of an innovative media business management platform for the Northern European music channels, among other projects.
