Mareike is a journalist and author covering Ukraine, the Baltic States and Eastern Europe for various German news outlets. Her work focuses on Russia’s war against Ukraine and its regional implications. She's particularly interested in the intersections of geopolitics, economics, security and technology - and the people she meets at these junctures. Her book “Inventing the Future – in the Middle of War” about Ukrainian wartime innovations is published in Germany this fall.
