Lutz Kinkel works as journalist, moderator and lecturer in Berlin. He was managing director of the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom and leading editor of the magazine "stern". His dissertation portrays Nazi film director Leni Riefenstahl ("Die Scheinwerferin"). He lectures at Akademie für Publizistik (Hamburg) and co-organises the Understanding Media seminar at the University Witten/Herdecke. In collaboration with Lie Detectors Lutz visits classrooms in Berlin to teach media literacy.
