As an international reporter for the news channels ProSieben and Sat.1, Lea Z. Freist covers crisis regions such as Israel and the Turkish-Syrian border. She covers both spontaneous assignments during breaking news events and live coverage of major planned events, such as the US elections and the coronation of King Charles. The TV journalist spent several months working in the Washington studio, focusing particularly on President Donald Trump's immigration policies. After completing a Master's degree in Journalism and Political Science at the University of Hamburg, and spending a semester abroad in South Africa, she undertook a traineeship at the news channel N24 (now WELT). It was there that she discovered her passion for working under pressure in a high-pressure environment.
