Karsten Frerichs has been searching for the good news in journalism for many years. After completing his studies and newspaper traineeship, he worked as an editor and in various management positions at the ddp news agency and in the online editorial department of German public radio broadcaster Deutschlandradio before moving to the Evangelischer Pressedienst (epd) in 2008 as head of news and deputy editor-in-chief. In 2018, he took over as editor-in-chief of the epd central editorial office in Frankfurt am Main.
