Johanna Mack is a research assistant at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. She is doing her doctorate on media systems in fragile states using the example of Guinea-Bissau and the influence of media development cooperation on media systems. Until October 2025, she edited the German version of the European Journalism Observatory and worked on various projects at the Erich Brost Institute for International Journalism in Dortmund.
