Born in 1977, he studied history, German, and political science. He was a trainee at Norddeutscher Rundfunk and joined SPIEGEL ONLINE in 2007 as an editor, later becoming deputy head of the Panorama department and a correspondent in Düsseldorf. In 2014, he became chief reporter and head of the Background and Research team. Since 2019, he has been head of the Germany/Panorama department. In May 2022, he became the Investigative Coordinator at SPIEGEL. He is the co-author of the bestsellers "Rockerkrieg" (2013) and "Undercover" (2020).
