Jan Richard Heinicke was born in the Ruhr area in 1991. After receiving a Franco-German school education, he studied urban and regional planning at TU Dortmund University. Following his graduation, he studied photojournalism in Hanover and has been enrolled in the Master's degree in Photographic Studies in Dortmund since September 2022. His work focuses on topics related to land use, climate change, and new technologies. His emphasis is always on the conflict between the demands of humans on their natural environment and the potential of nature.
