Insa Backe is a presenter, author, and reporter. She regularly works for Die Maus. She has been visiting schools throughout North Rhine-Westphalia for more than 20 years. There, Insa educates fourth and fifth graders about the dangers of the digital world. The central topic is “fake news,” i.e., false information that is spread via the Internet. Every week, she travels with the MausKlasse to a different school in the state—in small villages and large cities. There, Insa engages in direct exchange with the children, gives tips and guidance, discusses problems, and works with the classes to find solutions. Teachers and parents also welcome her expertise. In addition, Insa Backe writes many articles and features, reports on various topics from different regions as a reporter, and hosts various events.
