I grew up in Korschenbroich, in the Lower Rhine region, as the child of Moroccan parents. I joined WDR at the age of 19 and have worked there ever since. After completing my journalism traineeship, I became an editor at Tagesschau, as well as hosting and writing for the WDR Newsroom, including for the TikTok format Nicetoknow. Since the beginning of this year, I have been telling stories from around the world in my funk format "Ili Bruder" – explaining why they matter to us.
