Htet Htet Khine is a Myanmar freelance journalist and former producer for BBC Media Action. She co-hosted the TV news program Khan Sar Kyi ("Feel It") before being arrested in August 2021 following Myanmar's military coup. Convicted on broadly applied anti-state and false news charges, she is serving a five-year sentence with hard labor. Her case reflects the junta's systematic crackdown on independent journalism and press freedom.
