Dr. Helge Matthiesen has been Editor-in-Chief of the German local newspaper General-Anzeiger Bonn since January 2015. After studying history, political science and geography in Göttingen, he earned his doctorate in political science. Helge Matthiesen is a trained local journalist. Prior to the General-Anzeiger, he reported for other local papers, including the Waldeckische Landeszeitung (Korbach), the Flensburger Tageblatt and the Weser-Kurier (Bremen).
