Hektor Haarkötter is a professor of communication science with a focus on political communication at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences in Sankt Augustin. Previously, he worked for many years as a journalist and TV director, primarily for public broadcasting. In an honorary capacity, he is chairman of the Initiative Nachrichtenaufklärung (INA) e.V. He has written numerous books and essays on journalism and public communication.
