Gilda Sahebi is a trained physician and political scientist. She works as a freelance journalist focusing on anti-Semitism and racism, women's rights, the Middle East, and science. She is a contributor to the “taz” and “Spiegel” newspapers and works for ARD, among others. Since the death of Jina Mahsa Amini and the ensuing protest movement, she has been reporting extensively on events in Iran. Focus magazine named her one of the “100 Women of the Year” in 2022, and Medium magazine named her Journalist of the Year in the politics category. Gilda Sahebi lives in Berlin.
