Born and raised in the Ahr Valley, Friedhelm Müller began his training at Sparkasse KölnBonn (then Sparkasse Bonn) in 1988.
After studying at what is now the University of Applied Sciences for Finance and Management of the S-Finanzgruppe in Bonn, he took on various management positions.
He describes his current area of responsibility as the “state chancellery or federal chancellery of the Sparkasse” – specifically, this involves committee management, internal and external communication, and responsibility for the Sparkasse's financial regional engagement.
“Here for each other” is the slogan of Sparkasse KölnBonn – and in addition to its strong commitment to promoting projects in the areas of social affairs, education, sports, and culture, the promotion of democracy is naturally also one of the tasks of a savings bank. Why? He will be happy to explain this on the podium on October 4, 2025.
