Previously, he worked in editorial roles and advised non-profits on digitalization and public relations. He studied Anthropology, Latin American Studies, and Journalism in Hamburg, Montevideo, and Newcastle upon Tyne. During this time, he managed international cooperation projects in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, and worked for NDR, small NGOs, the BBC, and the Goethe-Institut, among others.
Today, Florian Vitello lives back in the Rhineland, in the quiet city of Bonn, and commutes weekly to his hometown Cologne, where he also volunteers as chair of the non-profit association MediaMundo e.V., advocating for media education and empowerment.
