Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen studied medicine and science journalism in Berlin, London and Heidelberg. His speciality: conveying medical content in a humorous way. He gives lasting impulses that stick: on television, as a non-fiction author, at congresses or as a keynote speaker. For him, "planetary health" means giving top priority to the protection of our livelihoods and a future for our grandchildren. To this end, he founded the Healthy Earth - Healthy People Foundation in 2020 and published the book "Mensch Erde- Wir könnten es so schön haben". For the German television station ARD, he hosts two science/health shows ("Was kann der Mensch?", "Wissen vor 8 - Erde") and has been part of numerous documentaries. Eckart von Hirschhausen is an honorary member of the faculty of the Charité hospital in Berlin, a member of the Sustainability Advisory Council of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Club of Rome and an honorary professor in Marburg.
