Christoph Schmälzle is an art and cultural historian who earned his doctorate under Thomas Macho and Werner Busch. He has held lectureships at Bauhaus University Weimar, Leuphana University Lüneburg, and the Berlin University of the Arts. He is a freelance contributor to the FAZ and SWR2. Among other roles, he has worked as the Personal Assistant to the President of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, a postdoctoral researcher in the Kolleg research group BildEvidenz, and a scientific project manager in the Marbach Weimar Wolfenbüttel research network. Currently, he is a consultant for art history at the LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn.
