Dörthe Ziemer founded the local online magazine Wokreisel in the Dahme-Spreewald district of Brandenburg in 2021. She is currently transforming it into a digital-analog discussion forum. The main journalistic product remains the Wochenkreisel newsletter. After studying Russian and German language and literature, she completed her journalism internship at the Lausitzer Rundschau in Cottbus and subsequently worked for the journalism network n-ost as well as serving as press spokesperson for the city of Lübben in the Spreewald.
