Dr. Dennis Lichtenstein has been working at Deutsche Welle (DW) in Market and Audience Insights since December 2021 and is a private lecturer in communication science. At DW, he studies audiences and media markets in African and Asian countries, as well as in Russia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. His academic research and teaching focus on political communication and journalism studies. He previously worked as a senior researcher at the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna and Klagenfurt, as well as at the universities of Friedrichshafen and Düsseldorf, and as a junior researcher at the University of Augsburg.
