Daniel Kraft studied political science, sociology and German language and literature in Freiburg im Breisgau and Brno (Czech Republic). In 2003/2004, he completed a diploma course in fundraising at the Association Management Institute (VMI) at the University of Freiburg (Switzerland). Until 2005, he was director of the Brücke-Most Centre of the Brücke/Most Foundation for the Promotion of German-Czech Understanding and Cooperation (

) in Dresden and Prague. Since 2005, he has been an employee of the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) and, since 2009, head of the Communications Department and press spokesman for the bpb, responsible for press and public relations, marketing, internal communications and fundraising.
