Christoph Scherber is a biodiversity researcher and Deputy Director General at the Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change (LIB) in Bonn and Hamburg. He studied in Regensburg and Rostock, wrote his diploma thesis at Imperial College London, completed his doctorate in Jena, habilitated in Göttingen and then held a professorship in animal ecology at the University of Münster. Since 2020, he has been Professor of Biodiversity Monitoring at the University of Bonn.
