Christoph Rieth joined the television channel NBC GIGA as a trainee in 2000 and was editorial director and presenter at NBC Universal/GIGA until 2006. He then held the same position at German television station n-tv. In 2008, he moved to German regional public broadcaster MDR in Leipzig and took over the coordination of various major digital projects of the German broadcasting network ARD, such as the 2010/2018 Winter Olympics, Make Love or the Bambi Awards. Since 2019 he has led the innovation program MDR next and the digital coordination.
