Ariane Burg studied journalism and worked as a lecturer in journalism and communication sciences at various universities in North Rhine-Westphalia. Her research focused on topics such as “The use of AI to combat disinformation,” and she trained as an editor specializing in news at NRW-Lokalfunk. She is a trained speaker and presenter and works as a consultant in the Media Diversity and Innovation team at the State Media Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia. There, she focuses on topics such as promoting young journalists and supervises the career days of the Medienkarriere NRW initiative.
