Anne Kathrin Thüringer is project manager for format development at Deutsche Welle with a focus on video / documentaries. Together with DW's editorial teams, the team develops new formats for DW's digital video and audio channels as well as international VoD and streaming platforms. Previously, Anne Kathrin was a documentary editor at rbb and worked for more than 15 years as a writer and producer for German and European public television (Panorama, ttt, arte Re:, ZDF Zoom, ZDF aspekte). She was also presenter of the culture department on German national broadcaster's daily news show tagesschau24 and moderates events and panel talks. After studying modern history and English at the universities of Marburg, East Anglia and Hamburg, Anne Kathrin completed a traineeship at German regional broadcaster NDR. She has received several awards for her work, including the CNN Journalist of the Year Award and the Journalism Award for Seniors.
