Annabelle Steffes-Halmer is a journalist, moderator and digital format developer at Deutsche Welle. Before joining Deutsche Welle, she worked for ARTE, Reuters and WDR, covering a wide range of political, social and cultural topics. At DW, she develops digital-first formats, podcasts and video projects for international audiences. Her work focuses on journalism, media innovation and audience engagement, with a particular interest in Africa and international media cooperation. She regularly designs and moderates workshops for journalists as well as panel discussions and public conversations for international media and development organisations, bringing together journalists, policymakers and experts to explore the role of media in addressing global challenges.
