Kai Schächtele is a journalist and political communicator from Berlin. He was a radio reporter, has written several books and worked for numerous magazines as a writer and copy editor until 2015, when he led an eleven-person team at the Paris climate summit that covered the summit events from the perspective of insiders from Bangladesh, Russia and Germany, among other countries. In 2018, this earned them a nomination for the Grimme Online Award. In 2017, he co-founded vollehalle to provide a stage for people who, with expertise and passion, are trying to make the Paris Treaty a reality. In addition, he works for Bread for the World and is part of the editorial team of 2050, a magazine of the Burda publishing house for Generation World Rescue.
